Rebound: the right choice

Rebound is the result of years of research and development in Glass-reinforced cement technology (GRC). In the early seventies Rebound pioneered the use of GRC in Squash courts in Lancashire. Since then it has been applied in courts throughout the world.

Rebound is a sand and cement premix with a radical difference. Developed in conjunction with Pilkington Brothers PLC it contains a crucial ingredient: alkali-resistant E-glass fiber strands: and special additives to enhance performance. This combination gives outstanding durability and immense resistance to impact.

Rebound has been scientifically tested by Dr. Vaughan Thomas of the Sports Research Unit at Liverpool Polytechnic. He found that it withstood impact and wear factors far in excess of anything experienced under normal playing conditions.

Rebound stands up to the most punishing treatment and it provides an accurate playing surface requiring minimal attention.

The squash court wall surface

Squash is a world game played in 135 nations with over 47,000 courts worldwide. The large number of players and vastly improved playing standards mean that Squash courts have to cope with unprecedented pressure from the volume and intensity of play. Nothing is under greater stress than the playing surface itself -it must be tough, accurate and lasting. An unwise choice of material will inevitably result in surface damage, with courts out of commission, lost revenue and costly repairs. It makes sense to specify Rebound, a material specifically developed to measure up to the rigors of the modern game.

Many courts are now over fifteen years old proving strength and durability. Today long life, low maintenance and high capacity use are seen as environmental benefits.
